I'm hoping to avoid security.

I would like to take this moment to say that Rick Tocchet is a little firecracker and I love it. Who knows if he'll take the team and transform them into a team that starts winning...but he's sure fun to watch. I wasn't shocked last Friday when I read that Melrose got cut. The only thing I'm surprised about is that it took as long as it did. Good effort, Melrose but it just wasn't going to happen for you here.

The team is dangerously close to last place in the Eastern Conference. A spot the team is all too familiar if considering last season. I can't help but wonder what it is going to take for the team to just wake up and function.

I'll be asking this tonight at Hockey and Heels. I will also be throwing myself at Bobby Taylor so he'll remember me when I try to intern with the Lightning during my last semester of Journalism. Hopefully my plan will work. More so, let's hope I don't get kicked out.

I think Rick will help turn things around. He has a different perspective of the game than Barry did.....

Not getting much better, is it?

Things are rotten from the top down and that's being reflected by a flashback to days of yore where 50 loses was the norm.

The difference between now and then is hope and direction. The bad teams had hope for the future while this team has no direction (this is a top-down issue, ownership has not laid out a plan and a purpose for the team) and the future is bleak unless there is an improved plan by ownership.

I was looking for information about Okanagan Hockey Academy and I stumbled upon some information that caused me great concern. It's a blog called Okanagan Hockey Academy. I was thinking about sending my 14 year-old boy to OHA but if the information on this blog is true, I would never send him there.

What can you tell me about OHA? Do they really have a crack house on campus? What are some good hockey schools in Canada where my son can develop and be relatively safe from harm?

Is it true Kerr was fired from Port Alberni due to favouritism of his son?

Thanks for any help or comments on this subject.
